During the pandemic, I spend most of my time building things. Below are a few things that I have made over the past couple of years. Most of them are quick thoughts and ideas brought to life. The pandemic time was probably the most productive time of my life and it really did tweek up my creativity.

1. Table and stool

This is my table. Made entirely from a single sheet of plywood ( drawers excluded), this was made using 2 basic powertools - a modified tile cutter and a power drill.
The stool on the picture is my first ever furniture build. Made from reused packaging wood, completely using handtools. The cushion is sewed from and old t shirt and filled with used surgical masks (washed).

2. Chess Pieces

Made from paper during the pandemic out of a sudden excitement to play chess. My cousin had borrowed my chess set at the time and it was lockdown. Paper was the easiest material that I had access to, It turned out great.

3. Storage for my tools

Made completely using handtools from wood planks. The inspiration is from the youtuber Rex Kruger . Working with hand tools is great, theres no dust and noise and it’s very meditative.

4. Wallet

Wallet made from packaging paper. These microwave popcorn packages are used as grocery bags in a shop in my hometown. I stacked and glued 3 layers of this paper and hand stitched them to make this wallet.

5. Tin Ukelele

Made this ukelele from a christmas cake tin. This lead me to build the acryllic one. See how it sounds : instagram

6. Camera Mockup

Sony A6000 Mockup made for a classroom project at NID. It have clickable buttons and movable lens. Hand oven neckband (Thanks Samarth Patel for the guidance )

7. Chair 01

I named this chair 01 hoping that I’ll make more chairs in the future. I bought a welding machine during the pandemic and this was made  from some already available raw materials while figuring out welding. Not so great to sit on though.
